The HJC ChatterBox FRS Multi Sport allows you to communicate with other riders as well as your passenger. This unit will communicate with any other communication system that uses the “FRS Frequency” (Family Radio Service Frequency). State of the art electronics and shock resistant casing make the FRS Multi Sport not only reliable but tough enough to withstand the toughest riding conditions, even off road! ChatterBox refers to the FRS as the Multi-Sport Communicator because it can be used for camping, hiking, fishing, back packing, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding etc… Here is information regarding the accessories you will need depending on how you want to use this unit. Mounting this unit anywhere besides a helmet requires the CB-50/FRS Stereo Headset Extension Cord, belt mounting requires the Belt Clip. Communicating with a passenger requires the CB-50/FRS Full Face or Open Face Stereo Headsets depending on the helmet style, also required is the CB-50/FRS Stereo Headset Extension Cord. Audio devices such as CD/MP3 player and iPod’s require the Audio Cord. To connect an audio device directly to the headset when not using the unit requires the Music to Headset Adapter. I bought 2 ChatterBox FRS Multi Sport for my dad and I to use while on trips together. They work fairly well, but wind noise seems to be a problem as the speaker doesn't get loud enough. I usually have to lean down behind my wind screen to hear.... (Read more...)
