The RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 Motorcycle Immobilization Device (MID) is a one of a kind security device for your motorcycle. There are countless hours of R & D behind this product resulting in one of the best theft prevention products we have seen yet. With the high price tag on motorcycles today and the fact that a motorcycle is stolen every 436 seconds (7 minutes) in the United States, spending the money for a fool-proof product like the RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 is easily justified. Once installed, the RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 is never removed from the motorcycle and all you have to carry with you is the BrakeBolt™ locking pin. It cannot be removed or tampered with by would-be thieves because it mounts to your motorcycle in place of your rear brake caliper bracket. The rear axle bolt goes through the RoadLoK™ making it impossible to remove. After the BrakeBolt™ locking pin is engaged, the motorcycle is totally immobilized because the RoadLoK™ is attached to the swingarm and the BrakeBolt™ locking pin goes all the way through the rotor. Unlike a regular disc lock that allows the motorcycle to be rolled forward or backwards approximately Six to Eight inches after the lock is engaged, the Arachnid™ S2 allows no forward or backward movement at all, which is one of the most important features in my opinion. If your motorcycle can roll forward or backwards, the potential for theft or damage greatly increases. We hear from riders all the time that have tried to ride away forgetting their disc lock is installed, the end result is usually several hundred dollars in damage to the motorcycle or worse yet, personal injury. The way the RoadLoK™ prevents even the slightest movement of the motorcycle pretty much guarantees you will never forget your motorcycle is locked. As listed above you can see that the majority of motorcycles that can use the Arachnid™ S2 need to swap their OEM brake rotor for a 1999-07’ OEM Hayabusa rotor which can be purchased here. The RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 comes with Two ABLOY® duplication proof keys, a ReKey™ registration card, BrakeBolt™ locking pin, a Yellow RoadLoK™ lanyard, limited lifetime warranty card, installation instructions, owners guide, service manual, and factory torque specifications for the caliper bolt and axle nut. We did an install of the RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 MID on a Hayabusa, it took about 15 minutes with no special tools needed. The best thing I can recommend for the installation is to get your rear wheel off the ground by using a few wood blocks, rear motorcycle stand, or have a friend help you by tilting the motorcycle to one side using the kickstand which will help get the rear wheel off the ground. Once you get the wheel safely off the ground it takes a matter of minutes to complete the installation and begin protecting your motorcycle with the RoadLoK™ Arachnid™ S2 MID.
