Q: How long is the first charge?
A: The first charge should be for 14hrs.

Q: How do you make the volume level stay set?
A: You should set the volume level to your desire, then push the ptt button located on the unit it self.

Q: What’s the difference between the big channels and the small channels?
A: The big channels are the main channels, and the small one’s are the sub channels (talk groups)

Q: Do I need the Main channel and the sub channel to be the same when speaking to another person, with the same Chatter Box?
A: Yes!!!

Q: How do I know if my Chatter Box is noise Reducing or not?
A: Check the back of your Chatter Box unit. You will see the serial number, if the number starts with a GN or GO, or if you have a X-2 that starts with a FN or FO it is noise reducing.

Q: Does the unit have a radio built into it?
A: No, but you can plug an audio source into it.

Q: How long is does the battery last?
A: On a full charge, 8-10hrs.

Q: Does the music automatically cut off when I start to talk?
A: Yes, then turns back on after the conversation is over.

Q: Is the Chatter Box voice activated?
A: Yes, also there is a standard push to talk feature (ptt) that can be used.

Q: How do I charge the Chatter Box unit?
A: You plug the AC home charger into a wall input, and the female end of the cord goes into the bottom of the unit that is marked dc.12V

Q: What do I do if the unit starts to cut in and out?

A: You want the mic. As close as possible to your lip’s.
