Firstgear Onyx Expandable Tail Bag

It was nice to see a solid tail bag from Firstgear featuring the all important “capacity to hold a full face helmet”. The other tail bag we offer that has the capacity to carry a full face helmet is the Nelson Rigg CL-150 Expandable Sport Tail Pack shown below. This tail bag features expandable exterior side pockets, expandable main compartment, built in bungee mounting system, internal organizer on the main compartment lid that has a mesh pocket (much like a tank bag), as well as the exterior compression straps that are recommended for use when using the tail bag in it’s fully expanded mode. These compression straps have their own exterior pockets with a Velcro closure so they can be tucked away when not needed. This is an important feature on a tail bag with expansion capabilities and they stabilize/secure your load while riding. Like the other Firstgear luggage they added a PVC coating with UV protection to their material, this will help slow down fading and deterioration after prolonged exposure to the sun.
