The Tour Master Hands Free LED Earlight is small, compact, lightweight, comfortable to wear, and I think it would be perfect for reading a map at nighttime. Easily compact enough to carry in any of your riding jacket pockets, even the front pocket on a button down style shirt! They claim the stalk of the light is adjustable but it is so short that adjustability is limited. The shade design and the end of the light really does protect your eyes from glare and this little LED is super bright. A battery is included and you can access it through a twist to open slot in the back that can be opened easily with a penny.
