A good shop apron makes any task in the garage/shop a little more enjoyable. Keep the tools or instruments you are using most for a particular job in one of the handy side pockets, and work without worrying about staining your clothes. Sure you could find an apron for less money but the guys at Mechanix Wear designed this for working in the garage/shop, not for a BBQ. This apron is heavy duty and will hold up to heavy shop use. The One inch wide neck strap is much more comfortable, and the quick release waist strap buckles are much nicer than fussing with tying a knot. The Two side pockets have a wide flap with a hook and loop closure so your tools don’t fall out when you lean over, also the cut up the lower middle of the apron helps to increase mobility that can be restricted with a standard style apron.
